Richmond Elementary Japanese Immersion School

richmondsmallRichmond Elementary Japanese Immersion School is an award-winning school in Portland, Oregon. It is also where my own kids spend most of their week. My five-year-old sings Japanese songs. My eight-year-old now reads and writes in the English alphabet, hirigana, katakana and is starting to learn kanji. We are really lucky.

This is a video I made to promote our school.

what a fabulous school! i would love to have attended this school, or have a similar school here in copenhagen for my daughter to go to. ( i could always go to the caligraphy classes then)

” a very fine video” is, actually, an understatement.
the teachers vidid enthusiasm, dedication and thoughtful explanations about the used didactics permeated the visual material.
and: so nice to see the children at ease having such fun at multi-(language)tasking.
